How to Install TWRP recovery in Moto E(1st GEN)

Things you will need:

PC 

Moto e

Data Cable

First boot your device to recovery mode.

Copy the TWRP recovery to the Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder. You can download it from here

Go to Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder and press shift+right click.

Now type ADB in the Command prompt window.

If large amount of text appears you are on the right track.

Type fastboot devices to check that your device is connected or not.

Then type fastboot flash recovery 'name of your recovery.img' and hit enter.

Wait for a few seconds and the recovery will be installed.

Now go to the recovery option using the volume down key and select it using volume up key.

Wait for a few seconds and it will boot into TWRP recovery.
