How To Unlock Bootloader On Moto G4 And Moto G4 Plus

What you need:
1) You need a Laptop or PC
2) You need MotG4 and Moto G4 Plus Drivers, Minimal ADB and Fastboot Driver
3) Working USB cable

Read the below steps carefully if you don’t wanna brick your device.

1. First of all enable the Developer Option
2. To Enable the Developer Option, Go to your Settings -> About Phone -> Now Tap on the Build Number 7-8 Times until you see a toast message “Developer option enabled“
3. Go to Settings -> Developer Option -> Switch the Allow OEM Unlock
4. Now head to the Motorola Website and Register with your mail id  : Click Here 
5. Put your device into Fastboot Mode (Turn of your Phone – Press Power Button and olume Down simultaneously)
6. Now in your desktop or Laptop, Open the folder where you installed the fastboot zip – Now Click Shift button + Mouse Right button and open Command Window 
7. Now type the following command in command window

$ fastboot oem get_unlock_data

8. You will receive back with a string like this in your command window :

$ fastboot oem get_unlock_data
(bootloader) 0A40040192024205#4C4D3556313230
(bootloader) 30373731363031303332323239#BD00
(bootloader) 8A672BA4746C2CE02328A2AC0C39F95
(bootloader) 1A3E5#1F53280002000000000000000
(bootloader) 0000000

On a Mac OS Desktop, the returned string format would be

INFO0A40040192024205#4C4D3556313230
INFO30373731363031303332323239#BD00
INFO8A672BA4746C2CE02328A2AC0C39F95
INFO1A3E5#1F53280002000000000000000
INFO0000000

9.  Paste together the 5 lines of output into one continuous string without (bootloader) or ‘INFO’ or white spaces. Your string needs to look like this:

0A40040192024205#4C4D355631323030373731363031303332323239#BD008A672BA4746C2CE02328A2AC0C39F951A3E5#1F532800020000000000000000000000

10. Now you can paste the string on the website Motorola Website and check if your device can be unlocked. Hit the Button Can my device be unlocked?  

NOTE: If your device is unlockable, a “REQUEST UNLOCK KEY” button will now appear at the bottom of this page.

11. After you got the Unlock Code, Type the following in the command :

mfastboot oem unlock <code>

12. If you enter your device will reboot, Wait till your device reboots.
