How to Install TWRP Recovery on Lenovo Zuk Z2

PRE-REQUISITE TO INSTALL Official TWRP for Lenovo ZUK Z2 and Z2 Pro

• This Guide is for How to Install Official TWRP for Lenovo ZUK Z2 and Z2 Pro.
• You need either Laptop or PC.
• Your device Bootloader must be unlocked
• Charge your phone to at least 70%.
• Back up your device just in case if you need it later.
• Download Minimal ADB Tool – CLICK HERE or Download the Full ADB setup for Windows / Mac here  and Extract it.
• Make sure you have followed the steps properly. Don’t Skip and Read ! – We are not responsible for any damage that you make to your phone.

TWRP for ZUK Z2 TWRP for ZUK Z2 PRO

STEP BY STEP TO INSTALL TWRP RECOVERY FOR Lenovo ZUK Z2 and Z2 Pro

1. Please follow the PRE-REQUISITE and download all the necessary files. Take the full backup of your smartphone.
2. Now Extract the Full ADB or Minimal ADB Setup on your computer. Once you are done, now move the downloaded TWRP Recovery to the ADB Folder. (It should be in C:/Program Files/Minimal ADB and Fastboot)
3. After moving the TWRP, rename the TWRP img file to Recovery.img
4. On your smartphone, you need to Enable Developer option to activate USB Debugging and OEM Unlock. Follow the simple steps to dig the Developer option (This will work on any Android smartphone.)
   • First of all, enable the Developer Option.
   • To Enable the USB Debugging you need to first enable the developer option, Now Go to your Settings -> About phone -> Now Tap on the Build Number 7-8 Times until you see a toast message “Developer option enabled“
   • Once your developer option is active, Go back to your settings -> Open developer option -> Enable USB Debugging.
   • Also, Enable OEM Option, TO do that, go to settings -> open developer option -> Enable OEM Unlock 
5. Connect your Phone to PC / Laptop
6. Now on your PC/Laptop, Open the extracted ADB Folder and Open Command Window by pressing Shift Key + Right Mouse Click.
7. You need to Reboot the phone into Bootloader – Type the Command from below in your Command window that you opened.

   adb reboot bootloader

8. Your device will boot into Bootloader, If it don’t check if your cable or drivers working properly. Now type the below command in your command window.

   fastboot devices

9. To flash the recovery, Type the command

   fastboot -i 0x2b4c boot recovery.img

10. Now if it shows the command like this then reboot your device.
11. To reboot your device, Type the following command on your computer

    fastboot reboot-bootloader

12. You have successfully installed Official TWRP For Lenovo ZUK Z2 and Z2 Pro. Enjoy.
